About the Artists
Steve Ross has been working with pastel painting and polymer clay for several years. He has been interested in drawing since he was very young. Steve has taken private art lessons in acrylics and also studied Art at Monmouth University in New Jersey. He is also an active member of the Freehold Arts Society of NJ and Belmar Arts Council Belmar, NJ. He has recently taken several workshops including portrait painting. Steve has been honored to receive several awards over the past few years for his paintings. He has displayed his paintings and clay designs at various juried arts and crafts shows along the Jersey Shore. Steve has enjoyed displaying his paintings at Earth Day in Point Pleasant, NJ; Pinnacle Gallery Belmar, NJ; Shrewsbury Art Guild in Shrewsbury, NJ; and the Monmouth Museum in Lincroft, NJ. Steve enjoys living in Avon-by-the-Sea, a small beach town along the Atlantic Ocean which is a source of inspiration for his artwork. Steve also enjoys hiking and kayaking in New England where he can be involved with people and nature.
Creating some landscape clay designs
Patti Calvert has worked as a graphic artist for over ten years. She has also worked as a freelance jeweler and has supplied her jewelry designs to shops and boutiques along the east coast. She is familiar with various silversmith techniques, precious stones, beads, and polymer clay. Patti enjoys color and black & white photography and has more recently been working with hand tinting techniques using black & white photographs. Patti enjoys studying photographic techniques in several historic towns including Ocean Grove, Asbury Park, and Cape May, NJ. She also enjoys traveling along the East Coast to explore lighthouses and coastal towns. Patti has a particular fondness for the natural beauty and scenic villages of Vermont and likes to travel whenever she can.
